M-200

230

Manlay Sound's M-200 was designed to reproduce the tone of the early (3 knobs) Marshall Major aka "The Pig". This very unique 200w amplifier was the key element of the legendary Mick Ronson sound. The "Pig" had a voice in its own, quite unlike any other amp of any era.

The M-200 replicates the unique tone circuit configuration of "The Pig". It's based on a two way preamp: one for bass and one for treble; these combine to produce different sounds depending on their adjustment position and produce the very distinctive, penetrating, nasal and slightly phased sound we all love from David Bowie's early 1970s albums, as well as Mick Ronson's solo albums, etc. Both knobs BASS and TREBLE control the gain of each channel but an overall GAIN control was added for greater versatility and tuning for different pickup types.
